There and Back Again, A tale about an RPer
Heya folks! Another new kid on your block here. And he's aching to dive down deep into Fearûn lore once more.
Even though I never played "real" DnD PnP-style, I used to roleplay alot on NWN1. That's where I had my beginnings and where it went from a hobby to an art, as you might say
Since a bit before NWN2 came out I've been scouring the MMORPG-verse to find a new home. I tried WoW (fool's errand I'm afraid), Tabula Rasa(great M*A*S*H-like potential), AoC, WAR and certainly more that I don't remember right this minute. I found it in EVE Online which I'm now about 5 years into and with a character that's got more depth than Johnny Cash.
But the Realms are the Realms and they will never quite let you go. During this year I've *finally* actually finished Baldur's Gate 2 with expansion and gotten my hands on Planescape: Torment, and especially the latter was only an octave from a Siren's Song for me to come back. So, I sit here and glance through the intrawebz for quotes, discussions and I throw out a search for "nwn2 pw" and ALFA pops up. I recall having looked at ALFA several years ago, but The Heartlands Project caught me back then, so I figured I might throw out an application.
Now, I won't give up EVE. But who said that might and magic never went well with a 220mm Vulcan cannon a spaceship going 5000m/s? So, here I am to hope to revive and imagine some stories for our beloved Neverwinter Nights...
