I'm looking to fix tiles and tilesets that are mixed between Exodus and ALFA haks so as to salvage as many Amnian areas as possible. Can someone please direct me to a resource that I can first understand how do these tile things exactly work in the first place? What files do I need to pick and how are they referenced? All I know now is to start from the tilesets.2da, and what reads there.
What we have is that all but one tileset used by Exodus is also used in ALFA haks, but the lines are different. The one that isn't in ALFA haks has an empty line available in the ALFA 2da.
The details of tileset 2das are shown here:

The NWN2 Wiki has a lengthy article on Tileset Creation. You could also try the Robinson Workshop website and forums, or the Bioware NWN2 Social forums.
Or try a forum PM to Gimlor Stoneaxe (aka Hellfire of RWS) - he and his partner Baron have done an awful lot with tilesets in NWN2.
