Teric, how does your system on OAS work and can I pillage it?

1. Make sure the creature faction is hostile.
2. Add the following script to its OnPerceive event ("sjc_onperception_morale");
script
3. Give the creature an int variable SJC_MORALERATING. If 0 the creature will always flee. I use the following values (cribbed from 2nd ed);
3 Animals that stand a slight chance of turning nasty (Boars, Bears..)
7 Unintelligent predatory animals (Wolves..)
9 - 11 Normal Humanoids (Goblins, Bandits..)
14 Elite troops, berserkers, trolls and other nutters.
2nd ed sources (Monstrous Manual et al) should include a morale rating which plugs straight into this system (because it's where I've nicked the numbers from).
This system does have some quirks in that sometimes the creatures just plain ignore PCs (don't know why) but it is better than having deer stand around going "Doh!" while being slaughtered.
Let me know if it's not working,
Teric
