Masterwork Items

Post by darrenhfx »

I had a quick look at building some of these last night. The enhancement category didn't jump right out at me in the toolset so which one should be added? "Wielding it provides a +1 enhancement bonus on attack rolls."

Also, other than the 300gp price increase for weapons and the 6gp increase for ammunition, is there anything else that I should modifying?
I'm going strictly by the book, so there may be a few ALFA nuances with which I am unawares.

I thought we had a selectable "masterwork" entry added to our property list, which would take care of the appropriate bonus for weapons, armours etc.?
The power of concealment lies in revelation.

Oh maybe so, I'll check into that before I build anything.
Thanks!

We were going to add special masterwork categories for armor and weapons IIRC, but then the game actual shipped with extra items types for masterwork armors at least. The +1 attack that is traditional for PnP MW weapons is present as well (and IIRC, doesn't beat DR like it did in NWN1).

Has anyone checked NWN2/MotB's MW Armor stats for appropriateness?

Wielding it provides a +1 enhancement bonus on attack rolls.
That's the one.

So that's a bonus on "to hit" not damage?

Thank you sir, I shall recommence item making when I'm back on speaking terms with the toolset. I've already lost 5 hours worth of work this week due to crashes and it's only Tuesday.

Autosave didn't result in a backed up mod, so I guess the answer is to use safesave every 30 minutes. I'll have to set a freakin' timer.

Turn off autosave. It is CAUSING the crashes. Use that timer and make frequent manual backups. Life will be simpler.
Enjoy the game

*sigh*

I think I started using the autosave again after I crashed building an interior.

I'll definitely move an auto reminder than manual save.
Can I still do the ritual sacrifice?

Thanks.
