About how tough might this be to make and if doable... how?

Just the model, or the true weapon with all its stats?

No base weapon has anything like the stats. There's a dagger model in the Amn haks that looks like a small pick, but that's really just for rp and scenery purposes. If you disregard the finesse part, rapier's stats are the same, except that the crit is higher range as opposed to higher multiplier. So pick-like rapier model would be a stretch. Axe has close to the stats, but is cutting not piercing.

A scythe model that looks like a big pick, possibly monkeygripped, is closest I would call plausible?

Find models and base items can happen.

Needs to be actual models. A screenshot of a model is vaguely useful, but it doesn't really get into the haks until after we've tested it as a model. The chances of a model getting in get higher the more stuff you do with it, and starting by finding it and linking to where ever it's posted / hosted / whatnot and potentially loading up the game and seeing if there are any obvious bugs (they tend to wiggle, distort, or draw random lines across the screen if they're bugged) when the model is used or if there are any blatant violations of canon (this here is a gun-pick!) would make tech's job significantly easier.

Here's some picks, but is it possible to just take a warhammer model and modify one of the variations to be a military or heavy pick and make it two-handed and raise the damage?

I'm really looking for actual NWN2 models. It's possible to make them based on pictures or modify them from other models, but again-- it is the lowest yield activity that I can take on. It will take more time than a number of more-needful (and-- I'm sorry to say-- more interesting [people often underestimate the value of morale for volunteers; it is everything]) fixes and enhancements, and it will impact fewer people. If someone else out there thinks that picks are the coolest thing in the world and models them for NWN2, I'm perfectly happy to add them to our content.

Its cool Zel, I was just wondering. Not being a guy that does what you do, I don't have the frame of reference to know what it takes to build something from scratch, modify it or whatever...

If you want models, see about talking to Xerxes for them. He's a 3D graphics artist.

Why not just get them from the Vault?

Yes, that would be what I was asking for. Someone feeling up to testing Holly's link? Just download; use in a crappy test module. Hit something with the picks; zoom in, zoom out. Make sure that they don't speckle, warp, distort, etc.
