Re: Want a hand with the ALFA/SoZ 2das??
Certainly would be appreciated; you can get the current 1.21 merged ALFA 2das from the current alfa_2da.hak on the Worldgate server or by directly downloading here:
http://download.alandfaraway.org/downlo ... a_1.54.rar
Do you have a copy of WinMerge? It's a free program to do side-by-side comparisons, it's the easiest way to identify the changed rows in order to merge content. I usually do 2 comparisons, the major one being between in this case the MotB 1.21 2das and the SoZ 1.21 2das, to identify changes in rows between the base game and the expansion, which would need to be merged back into our 2das. Once those are identified, a quick check between MotB 1.21 and ALFA 1.21 2das will confirm if you can just replace with the SoZ ones, or if you need to account for ALFA changes in that row as well.
You'll also see in the hak that there are text files documenting the changes of each 2da, these should be helpful as well.
I'd say start with placeables.2da and tiles.2da, I believe I heard that there are no new tilesets included in SoZ, but you can confirm that by checking tilesets.2da. We will need many more (spells.2da, appearance.2da especially) eventually, but both of the latter ones require some special gymnastics due to added or globally changed columns.)
Let me know if you require any advice or assistance, and thanks for offering your hand to help with this.
