Re: DM Requests
Don't completely give up; someday a DM might be around who takes interest in such.
Speaking personally I don't know much at all about the particular niche and I'm struggling atm just to try to get momentum back into plans I had for the handful of PCs I was hoping to give some personalized attention to.

Re: DM Requests
Just be writing a notice like this will heighten your chances of getting DM attention to your wants and wills. I am sure that one or another will heed your call and give you a nice experience. But I guess that patience will be a guiding word. As there are lots of players that want attention and only so many DMs with time.

I advise patience. Perhaps the DMs were occupied doing something unconnected with ALFA in those two hours. Even DMs, as nerdly as they are, have lives outside of ALFA. At least I hope they do since that keeps them from burning out.
As for RPing this, perhaps even a DM that knows nothing about gnomes and their gods could help out a little bit with this. Frankly, I might look into taking care of at least some of this out of game, with a couple of PMs. I too know nothing of gnomes or their gods and actually know very little about Faerun in general, but after reading the link you provided, it occurred to me that, were I a DM, I might, off the top of my head send a PM like this:
Upon hearing your request you are shuffled off to a small room carved out of living rock. There are no seats, no tables and of course, no windows. After waiting for hours, the door finally opens and a gray clad gnome you immediately identify as a priest of the Third Facet introduces himself as Pletnick Rorgatti. He hands you a ceremonial hammer, chisel and pouch and says "Before being considered for the faith you must prove your worth. Fill this pouch with offerings and return it for judgment. Choose wisely. You may go." With that you are shown out.
I honestly don't know where I would take it from there if I were either you or the DM. Perhaps there would be no need to do much of anything in game at all. Maybe you would PM back with what stones/gems/fossils whatever you would have Rerin look for and then the DM could come up with some sort of arbitrary chances you would have of finding them. Then an in-game meeting to simply make the rolls and hand over of the pouch and some gems. Maybe there is no need to do anything at all in-game.
I am not sure what the rules in ALFA are about this sort of thing, but I am guessing that handling things out of game is okay if that is what works best for an individual situation.
What I am getting at is patience, compromise and flexibility. Nobody gets everything they want, but if they try, sometimes they get what they need (some woman at a reception once told me that.)

Note that not even two hours and 15 miuntes had passed between your first request and your self-reply.Hyme wrote:no one

Re: DM Requests
I very big thank you to Stormbring3r by the way.
Also would it be ok if darrenhfx's deep gnome Belwar Sussur joined us if he/she has the time.

Re: DM Requests
I'll need slight DM assistance in the upcoming future with an order of fish placed by Hyme's PC Rerin. Will need objects to replicate crates of fish (weight included, order for 1,000 fish) as well as a dm to take gold away from my own PC from the order (paying the fisherman for their services). Hyme might need DM assisstance in the transportation of these fish as well to their destination (might make for a fun dm event for his pc).
