Player roll call - euros

So who do we have around? Looking for the possibility of a euro evenings groups and players. I'm currently thinking on possible events and "campaigns". Primary factions I'm considering as main protagonists are, in order of likelyhood in my mind: pirates and skaug shadies, ffolk traditionalists, northmen raiders and a cult of a foreign deity. But what do we have in play?

I'm a euro without a group. However, I'm not sure how a Hin TN Druid of Sheela Peryroyl would fit into much of that - unless the pirates start enslaving shrubbery, the traditionalists all embrace Veganism, the Northmen start interbreeding with fungi, or the foreign deity turns out to be the Nuclear Chaos. (Feel free to use any of those suggestions for future plottage, BTW. No thanks necessary.)

Euro on TSM for at least a few more weeks, with intent to travel to MS for a bit in the future alongside Ronan (if he's still wanting to)

I still consider MS to be my home server, and I play euro times. Have been off in BG a good bit lately as MS has seen player numbers down a lot.

Happy to come back and get involved in a group thing though :)

i would be happy to join a more regular group as well. current toon is an elf bard on bg, but with broad enough motivation to get involved in near anything.

Please input on what your chars would like to do and what not. You can send PM if you don't want everyone to know. As said, I'm in the brainstrom phase as is, and would appreciate initiative, so that I won't try to push something that might at best be tangentially relevant to anyone.

I'm betting it's a fairly safe assumption that a low level group would be better for starters. While Zyrus fits into most kinds of groups, 5+ types will probably throw balance out of whack. Still, if a CN Genasi Barbarian born from the northmen might work for something, I don't mind including Zyrus.

Tam already has some pans on the boil so I'll not list anything here or fill your PM box with guff (à la a certain Amnian frippet) that will take up any of your plot capacity. I'll be content for the wee Hin to be able to join in with, tag along on, and maybe even be a bit useful to the other players' preferred involvements wherever possible (cf. just a backing singer). Equally, I don't mind bowing out if it's too much of a stretch or if the preference is for new or low level chars.

However it works out, it's good to see some focus shifting towards MS. :pals:

So how's the thing with the Moonshaes campaign setting? Have people (players) read it? Is it even available? If not, I think it really should be. It doesn't really hold any secrets, and a couple hours read gives a touch of feeling of the grand lines of the world that all characters who live there should know. (And arguably DMs should know very well indeed, which in my case is certainly not yet the case...)

I'm asking since I'm getting virtually no input from you guys in terms of what our characters are in the Moonshaes, how they relate to people and factions in the isles (or what do they wish to become), and so on.

I've not read the source (i.e., the old Moonshae source book) but I've read everything posted and referenced herein. I'm no expert but I am reasonably familiar with the Druidic aspects of the setting. As I'm playing a non-native having been on the isles for only one year I prefer to learn about the other aspects of the setting ICly - makes things a bit more interesting. (Learning about Skaug and Flamsterd for example, all picked up ICly and it made the game all the more interesting for it.)

G'wan then, I'll toss a few pebbles into the pool:-
- Patrol the thin line between the wilds and the Queen’s Ffolk farmsteads, and perform all necessary Druidic duties to enforce that the locals tend their farms responsibly and respectfully (with the Hin kinlands of Lowhill being of primary focus).
- Remain in frequent contact with the many Moonwells (sacred groves) to spread word of, and learn of, the movements and actions of Ffolk, Fey, Wildkind and the Restless Dead alike.
- Regular visits to the Winterglen to exchange news about the wilds with the Elven villages there.
- Particular focus on being present at the conflict line between the Ffolk and the Fey at the Vale beyond the Myrloch in the north part of Gwyneth Isle, constantly trying to mediate and maintain the currently fractious stalemate.
- Keeping a watchful eye on the movements of the Trollkind (aka. Firbolg – as an outsider Tam knows Firbolg as they truly are, not as these Moonshavian monsters) of the Fens, occasionally mustering to fend off incursions.
- (Painful) Personal involvement in trying not to worsen currently delicate Human-Hin relations, particularly in Koart but increasingly in other settlements.
- Bringing the portfolio and protection of Sheela Peryroyl to the Hin kinlands of the Moonshae, particularly to Lowhill. The Green Daughters of the Watchful Mother are very rare within the Hin communities of the Moonshae, something that must be corrected.
- On-going mission to pester/bug/poke/prod/annoy all tallfolk.

Most of the above is conducted outside of the purview of the local Ffolk law enforcement factions. Sometimes actions need to be taken that run contrary to Ffolk law. The Queen’s law is not the only code of laws in operation within the Moonshae.

Like I said before, backing singer.
