Sameish thing happened to me after resting. I ended up with a fair bit less than what I had when I started resting. I'm sure it had something to do with the poison, getting back 1 point of constitution after resting, etc. Fortunately, Gruu doesn't have crappy HP and survived the trauma of resting.

If only this were actually possible I would have won ALFA last year.

I realise now if I had of said 'boar tusk' a lot earlier, we could have avoided all this kerfuffle. She was only a second too late. I was panicking. It's what happens when your two year old PC is bleeding out.

Just posted this in the group forum, but thought I'd post it here as well:

I have a theory.

I suspect a bug with the constitution penalty, where's it's basing your HP recovery on your normal HP maximum. So, it took your current HPs (e.g., 23), your normal max HPs (e.g., 54 vs current HPs Max of 24), your level (e.g., 6) and then added your level to your current HPs and subtracted that from your normal max HPs (e.g., 54 - 29 = 25) to get the damage to apply after resting.

Then because you only recovered 1 con after resting, your HPs remained at 24 and you took 25hp damage.
