Seeing from Moonshae's lore that the SE isle is ruled (occupied?) by Amnians. Also, the lands are neighbors across the sea. Thusly, I wish to extend an invitation to cross-pollimate story ideas across the servers. I'm sure it would be nice for players finding news of events, or even PC actions, crossing bounds to make our Faerun more alive, even if their PCs can't cross the barrier.
To start with, here's a few large-scale (and common knowledge) elements from Amn, with clear reprecussions to the Moonshae, should one of your DMs wish to pick it up:
- Amnian Merchant Houses Argrim and Lurraxol are the biggest operators in shipping. Exotic luxury goods from across the seas are always in high demand among high-class Amnians.
- The falldown of the Sythisillian horde and their Cyricist allies of the Twin Towers of the Apocalypse have caused bands of Cyricists to flee. Persecuted by Amnians, and likely even more by their mortal enemies in the opposing Cyricist sect Mountain of Skulls, such an exile group making landfall is a sturdy handle to what mayhem or intrigue might delight you. It doesn't get much more ruthless than Cyricists "crusading" against each other

- Current situation in Amn is military buildup in fear of civil war. Iron and armaments are in high demand. If any of the Isles are a major producer, Amnians should pay well indeed.
- Related to Amnians turning their swords inward is growing neglect in maintaining their maritime presence. Less attention is paid to Amnian warship patrols to support merchant shipping, and perhaps more importantly, less money is available to pay off pirates to keep them in gravy or make them raid someone else (=Waterdeep's merchant shipping, preferably). Supposedly Amnian MO would be to foremost pay the pirates, but they need to have enough a stick of warships to deter those raiders who would take the bribes and attack anyway.
- Amnians focusing inward also would open the door for an insurrection at Snowdown. Perhaps the local ruler wants to break free of Athkatla's grip, or some native or other group want to drive the Amnians out. Now's their chance, with the Amnian rulers occupied.
Extending a palm carrying a platinum gift, a friendly smile, and a shiny dagger in the sleeve.
Looking forward to hearing thoughts and ideas from your DMs and players.
