Ouch, okay. That's certainly a good reason. I want to get as many people as possible in on the first session to help with everyone possibly not dying so let's try the Saturday after that, then.

I can probably play any day. Would prefer to be in bed before midnight US east whatever day it is though.

Hully could play ... and go out in a blaze of glory... or wisp of shadow... or whatever happens :)

"Daylight" type hours on a weekend are no good for me, but I am not stressed about it. I'll still be "watching" basically, now it seems things are kicked out to two weekends away, never know what else will happen with the timing. Or if somehow I were to be relieved of Dad duty due to little kid events like birthday parties or play dates or whatever ,where again, I end up free to nerd out.

Okay let's tentatively try this. http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/ge ... 10&p0=1086

Subject to change or subtle tweaking if a bunch of people can't make it.

Edit - IC link. http://www.alandfaraway.info/phpBB3/vie ... &start=300

Oh and if people want to do anything IC related to this before next Saturday, like talk to the guy, then feel free to give me a poke in IRC.

Also, regarding useful mundane gear. I'm assuming everyone involved has enough gold to make buying mundane gear trivial and I don't want to oversee people buying it because that's super boring. If you want to, anyone can just PM me a list of useful mundane things they want to buy in advance and I'll save it somewhere. Stuff like "rope", etc. Just be reasonable about how much weight you can carry and it's fine.

Would like to ease-drop, but won't be around on the 17th. Maybe next week.

Castano would be the man to ask for exceptions and such.

It's looking as if I may not be able to participate this coming Saturday, but don't let that throw things off for everyone else.

Alright I want to clear something up. I want to avoid comic book timing this for a number of reasons. Most importantly, from my perspective, I want people's resources to be static from when they start to when they stop. I don't want people buying, say a wand of healing outside during comic book time and then teleporting back into this place and having it (note I don't think anyone would actually do this intentionally). It works the other way too. I don't want people using resources outside this quest and then having less inside it. I don't want people dying inside and then vanishing elsewhere. I especially don't want people dying elsewhere and then vanishing during this. It's a massive headache.

I get that it sucks and I will try to push this through as quickly as I realistically can, though some of that is just out of my control. My preference is for getting it done during a single marathon session, but again I don't have the greatest control over pacing. If it does stretch into multiple weeks then I will pretty much insist that it is done at least once a week until it is finished to avoid leaving people in limbo.

This appears to be a busy period on ALFA at the moment and I'm not particularly attached to doing it right this very minute. If enough people show up on Saturday then I will start it then. If they don't then I will run something else ad hoc for the people that did turn up and wait for a more opportune time to do this.

I'm committing My PC Rhone to the adventure and will not log in outside of the sessions. I am missing a CLW wand due to lending it out last month, but I don't have the gold to replace it. I will do the best I can with spells and a LV wand, which should go pretty far. If I can get the CLW wand back before we start that would be the best option, but would require a lot of travel to get it. I fully expect my PC to die in this undertaking and have backups already designed to replace her. But she's gonna go down swinging (I hope).

[edit]
I have unplanned family in from out of town this Saturday for a funeral, and they are staying with us. I should be able to play early Saturday morning, but if people need to do things I will have to leave the game at that point. Optimistic that we will finish before anyone wants to head out of the house.
