DMs and Players: Helping out with Greengrass Tourney

Post by CloudDancing »

Due to the wide player/dm spread of time zones I am requesting ALL MS dms sign up for a timeslot that Sunday in their most comfortable time to DM.

You may do any number of things from play local famous NPCs to run an event as an NPC. You can help assist players in their efforts and you can help keep things moderated, and give XP on an Rp by RP basis in small chunks.

AK and his crew have lots of things planned starting around 10:30am PST so there is a wide spread of time to play except for maybe Oceanic players.

IF you are a player wanting to help out, contact Sir Drake in game or via letter as it is well advertised he is running the event.

to make life easier I strongly suggest the attending players get together here or in IRC and define times for various events so that the mages duels occur when actual mages are online etc.

The best would be to block off 4-8 hours of Sunday, tell the RL people to go play by themselves and you will be back from ALFA-vacation on Monday.

Are we doing this again this year? Either to the same scale, or it running in the background?

Usually I get a player to "run" it. It makes for good XP and the people doing contests, tourneys, and feats that interest the player base. I'll try to throw in a hook tomorrow ingame, see who is interested.

Oh, I'll list my signup times soon... probably late afternoon/evening US time.

From a player side I'm sure that there are a number of players that can assist with minor acts of benevolence as the festival comes near, but to gain some sort of order along these thoughts we might have use for a list with DM timeslots and a separate list with what players can assist with, like the one we currently have for referees link. I for one will surely participate with my character Leon in some challenges, but any help that is needed I'll gladly try to provide.

I am sure it's not the only contest to need such, but the boxing contest would benefit from stand-by healers. I'll query IG. I can think of a few that might wish to assist. :D

Drake will surely participate one way or another in the tourney. Even if its just as an entrant in some of the contests.
