Eurotime Natureboyz

Post by Happycrow »

And gurllz, I guess.

Noticed there are a LOT of rangers, nature priests, and druids on during Euro-time.
Maybe we could get something going? My schedule is wacky in the extreme, since my current gig is "no set time except evenings" sales (aka, probably work Euro evenings and get home around 1am GMT).

A ranger station/batcave/grove? Burn Querrvar to the ground and use it as a Treant Nursery? Just tossing out potential concepts and seeing who'd like to coordinate a bit better. I'm told that DM support in the timezone is VERY sparse... but on a purely character basis, surely we can knock something together. :)

There are few elves around, and then there are Javan, Argus and Delshandra (rangers) Tam (Druidess) who play on GMT evening times. As for your ideas, they are a good start :D

If you burn the ashes of Q to the ground, remember there are likely to be IC repercussions. ;)

My toon is a Druid (Zion) and my current play times are US daytime EST 10am (GMT 3pm) to EST 5pm (GMT 9pm). I too have seen some Forest types around during my playtimes and think a group could be formed with a bit of organization.

As for some groups ideas, there is a abandoned Druid Grove near Winters Edge that could use some sprucing up I believe, and Quaervarr is always ripe for some treehugger love.

My toon can usually be found at the Great Oak when I am online.

EDIT: and I believe Javan and Argus are both followers of Mielikki but I don't think either of them are rangers.

My advice guys, choose a meeting spot to linger at to touch base, whether it be the Great Oak or the Golden Oak.

We have alot of people wandering alone. And seriously, the one time you fumble, you are gonna die alone out there. Stick together.

Untill I start work in two/three weeks, I am running a Euro session on Thursday ams mainly for Slyvanie but I try to include others.

Happycrow, right on the money. Count me in. With no DM coverage it may all be for naught but if there's a will there's a way.

Whereas if we merely /occupy/ it with militant treants and dryads, they'll be just /thrilled/ to heed the words of their new leafy overlords.

Without delving into detail in a 'public' thread: plan tried for Q, plan failed for Q. We just couldn't get the DM time to make any of it stick despite recruitment to the cause and PMs-a-plenty, then Q got rebuilt by someone in the toolset which pretty much sounded the death knell on the plan; however, we did get some rather enticing vignettes c/o the mighty JLM which may still have some legs if we're looking for an angle to exploit. It is important to note that he was DMing outside of his comfortable timezone (I think), and although hugely appreciated, it was not regular to the slot and probably can't be relied upon for our new merry band of grubby folk if we actually intend to prosecute something more interesting than mere TRP[1]. Just a thought.

It would be nice to get something going. These city folk have had a free run for far too long. Time to call in the flower power.

That place is a little hard to get too. Per Cloud's suggestion, maybe a more central and easily accessed place might be better, one that our toon's can check in on frequently and without too much trouble, when we are online and looking for others to game with. Now if we get a good solid group going that place might serve as a nice "bat cave" of sorts for sure.

ive got some nice options:

Outside the Moorgate (I find nature types lurking their all the time)

Mielekki's Glade in the Gem

Make a nice little hidden campsite/rendezvous for your "people
in Rauvinwatch. Also don't go afk there due to small chewing rats.

Khelb there is a NICE waterfall and shrine of Chauntea. Working on interiors for the future.

Also a nice Willow tree in two riverside spots inside Rivermoot. Very lovely and memorable.

Euro Prime Times are as follows.

10:00am PST is 8:00pm GMT/Euro

So for a PST Dm the Euro Evening Slot is 9:00 am to 1:00pm

Thanks. Was looking for something a bit more specific from these guys as in when do they plan on being on, within the broad spectrum of time that encompasses Euro hours.

I'd just like to respond to a couple of folks who've mentioned the "abandoned grove" by Wintersedge. To the best of my knowledge, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that's supposed to be the location of the Moonwood Druid Circle, led by Amra Clearwater (and IC-ly, where Del's parents were members and who partly trained her prior to her enlistment in the Argent Legion). Unless something's happened that nobody's been able to tell me about, Amra and what's left of the circle should still be around. According to what little IC information I've been able to dig up through outside sources (some provided by CD. thanks), Amra and her Circle have been working rather closely overseeing QV's logging activities to prevent undue deforestation by the loggers and though not exactly beloved by QV residents is at the very least respected and listened to.

As for the group thing, I personally tend to be on evenings, Jerusalem time, from about 8:30ish (GMT+2, unless the government screws with it) onward til midnight or even later. That's 10 hours ahead of PST, so 10:30AMish onward for a few hours. Del's a half-elven ranger raised mostly by her father da treehugga, and has some IC difficulties with travel at the moment, but would love to have company. Official duty station is RM. And, yes, that huge willow has come in handy from time to time :)
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.
<BH|werksux> I prefer the trumpet or clarinet
<BH|werksux> elves wiggle too much
