DM_Swift to the...uhh...whats the opposite of rescue?

Post by Swift »

So I may have lied. As it turns out, not only did I app to DM, I got approved! Crazy world isn't it?.

So, what are my plans? I am glad you asked.

My plans are...I have no current plans :D. I have a few things in mind but, for the short term, I will be doing simple stuff, hopefully making the RP experience better for all that show they are interested in the kind of Roleplaying that makes this community so great*. That, however, is the key. I am more than comfortable in saying that if you, the player, are not interested in roleplaying to the best of your ability, roleplaying to your surroundings and events that happen around you, then I, as a DM, am not interested in spending the time and effort to try and enrich your play experience.

Bold? Perhaps, but Roleplaying is what we are all here for, and enriching that is why I signed up. It is always a two way street, though, and I am comfortable with the expectation that I will do my best to enrich things.

My times are pretty much any Australian evening/Euro mornings, though on weekends I will likely overlap regularly with US players, so I will probably see most players at some point.

I am excited to join the dark side. Hope to see you all soon :)

* Note: Before anyone asks, no I do not mean purely social roleplaying, though initially that will be much of what I do while I learn the interface etc etc. You can roleplay wonderfully even in heavy combat events if you want to.

Oddly enough my first suggestion to Swift when he said he had his DM hat... was to cause an apocalypse and kill everyone off :D

Well, this will be interesting. I thought you did a pretty good job with Zalanthe, from what little Lester could hate her guts.

I guess the Marches will have to do with out Zala. Ah well, Baldur's Gate needs more imported Elven hotties.

And now the Aussies and late night USA people have a regular DM so TSM basically has 24 hour coverage on a regular basis currently and that is awesome.
