SSM had the same issue, possibly corrupted on upload, not sure, perhaps ask SSM what was done to fix it.

Actually, funny enough, the original file that had the transparency issue for me was made by Erevain.

Perhaps Photoshop saves them differently? SSM what did you do?

I took the original alyra jpeg and saved it as a .tga using paint.net, a free image editing software available online.
I don't know why photoshop would cause problems *shrugs*

Hope a lot more folks start using this; just about everyone I've inspected has no description.

Okay I hate asking questions because I feel like it annoys people, but I think I hate being lost more than anything.
okay so I typed out my description in the pc tools and I still don't know if it went through. How can I check?
Also,
with this portrait business, am I supposed to take a screenshot and then submit it? Am I supposed to download everyones portrait? Am I then to install it in mydocs/nwn2 or something?
I really want to do this because I was kind of chastised yesterday by another player for not having one. I thought that was a little strange and although I'm sure this person was trying to be helpful they didn't give me any information as to where to begin.

I'm sure chastisment was not in order, the upgraded descriptions are not mandatory whatsoever. If someone has a problem with you nto having one, that is their business.
mydocuments/neverwintersnights2/portraits
should be the path for all the downloads in this thread, or others you've seen.
further details on the new system can be found in this post:
http://www.alandfaraway.org/forums/view ... 31&t=43739
it tells you how to download the standard alfa portrait pack, how to use the new description editor and even the appropriate dimensions etc. for making your own portrait to post to better represent your character.

Thank I don't think I would have ever found that topic.

As said above, this system is an optional one and not required. I know I certainly haven't done any portrait for my own pc and probably won't for a while, I've better things to be doing with my time. Don't feel that you HAVE to do this at all. It is just like the vfx system, you don't HAVE to display all the weapons that you carry around, it is just a really neat option put into the game.

just going to step forward and say sorry Friar if you felt like I was chastising you. wasn't intended as such was more saying a basic description would be helpful as I got nothing when I clicked inspect (which it's been made the general idea was now the place to have descriptions?)
Never mentioned portraits however!
Regardless Sorry if it felt like chastisement as it wasn't intended as such.
