Animal Spawns

Hi guys,

I'm really not sure if this has been brought up before, i did a quick glance of ours forums but didnt see any titles that spoke to this.

I am finding the rodent swarms in the woods a little silly, the giant rats are fine, maybe they are agressive, makes sense. The tiny field mouse sized rats however attacking medium sized humanoids just feels silly and annoying. They aren't rabid, they aren't in a sewer or anything, is they any reason these are aggro and not just friendly wanderers in nature?

It's not a big complaint I suppose, I've just been thinking about it and it feels very off for the animals to be auto aggro, especially when its out of character for something like a 2 inch long rat charging at a party of adventurers like an orc berserker.

Just my thoughts, no giant call to action and no offense meant to anyone, just curious what people think.

encountered 6 tiny rats and one giant rat on the first screen of the silverwood south of silverymoon.

((edit: and yes the giant rats were quite tough for a level 3 ranger, it had the same attack as I do with my primary weapon ;) good thing orcs and goblins arent so tough or we'd be in trouble))

+1 to all of that although that is a Tough Place in general....Da Bears :( But I agree an attacking normal sized rat..Kinda like an attacking swarm of Bugs...can't see it without provocation. Of course normally Elves would be working for Santa:)
