A Land Far Away

I am almost done with the public side of the Tower of Balance. I plan to have an extensive private side to the temple. I would like to know what fellow Mystrans and possible other users of the arcane who might frequent the private area would like to see in their private area. I have ideas already ranging from a larger worship room than I made for public use, experimentation rooms, work/living spaces, spaces for your beloved familiars, an extensive library/scrollroom, a scribe, a practice room for your kaboom spells. Let me know what else you would like to see.

Please, No spamming the thread, no funny remarks,no off of the wall stuff like a portal leading to a red light district (Burt), just what you would like to see. Thanks.

Bummer, no portals. All the best arcane hangouts have a least ONE cool portal.

I'll go over portals with the DM Team. Don't believe there are any canonically, but I had a great suggestion IG from a player I wanted to share with the dm team. I simply meant no portals to stupid places like the pub down the street...cause I know the Burtimus would suggest something like that.

Perhaps a specialized library of some sort in addition to the existing one, open only to experienced mages or high-ranking clerics. This specialized library could feature numerous magical items on display museum-style (for viewing only, mind you).

That should give you some free license to play around with VFX combinations

Last call, I should be shoring up living quarters tomorrow and then starting on the rest. Open to suggestions.

A dragon's head spewing water, wine, ale or sangria into a recycling catchbasin would be cool. Sure, this would be more approrpiate in a tavern (probably dwarven, at that) than a spellslinger's hangout, unless you consider the fact that it would require some intricate magic to get the constant teleportation spell running on the liquid in the catchbasin up to the reservoir in the dragon's head. I'm sure that even mages need to let their hair down, now and then. I suggested this because we had one of these in the Kal-ahn'dur tavern in NWN2Haze, and it looked great, and lent itself to some fun drinking games and competitions.

Last call, I am done with private quarters and the main temple room, will be starting in on the two other wings tomorrow.
