Just a note to let y'all know how much fun I'm having.

Ingame I've had Indio, Darren, Curmudegeon, Wynna all for giving the love...and HR for giving the hate! ;)

Thank you for the responsiveness and the good times....and being willing to stay on the other side of the screen so I can party it up on this side!!

The DM's are, in fact, excellent. None of them has tried to kill me yet, which I appriciate greatly.

While I've yet to truly experience the DM love (soon to be remedied), I have the utmost respect and admiration for all the DM team. They have all been willing to answer the questions I have tossed their way and, unless they were committed to a prior engagement, prompt and helpful. Even when they were busy running or RPing elsewhere and thus unable to help immediately they have explained very politely the situation and expressed their sincere regret that they are only human (or demi-human as the case may be) rather than the omnipotent and omnipresent beings we lowly players tend to expect them to be.

The server that is our playground is beautiful. If you don't get out of Rivermoot or High Hold much you are really missing out. Walk the North Road to Quaervarr at night, stand and marvel at the vista around Citadel Felbarr, watch the horizons of Silverymoon Pass, wander the winding forest trails of Winter Edge. Go poke your nose into some of the remote corners of the areas and you will find yourself in areas you never knew existed (just be sure to report the bugs to the DMs.... and be prepared for a wait if the return AT is broken or you find yourself in the Land of Giant Gnomes). Of course I wouldn't recommend visiting most of these places alone but find yourself a group and an excuse to go exploring and see what our wonderful DMs have cooked up for us.

This isn't as much a prop post as it is an apologetic one.

To whichever DM decided to come play with us early this morning, I'm sorry I had to split so suddenly. I hope it didn't come of as being flaky; I only have literally half an hour in the mornings, which I use to mostly garner RPXP in and around Rivermoot, before I need to dress for work.

And while it was a certain delight to see a DM show up as a certain *cough* Selunite priestess with a contingent of KiS escorts, the timing could not have been worse for me. Just as things started getting good, my half hour lapsed and I had to jam to avoid being late. I didn't even have time to RP a way to get out of the situation - I literally could only log out.

So, whichever DM it was (since I couldn't tell), sorry for the sudden disappearance, but that's my situation, and I felt I needed to explain it.

The whole team has props from me for sticking it out even when the going got rough -- I know I don't have the courage to step up to the DM Team, so it's appreciated you were all willing to.

I'd also like to mention that I miss messing up my sleep schedule to get into a session of Indio's, because he has some crazy scenarios that you can get into, haha.

Props to Darren for the latest installment of the conflict with the orcs last night. The eerie mist and ominous cries and roars in the distance set the right mood. The battle was fun. The sneaky orc dropping rocks on our head was a nice touch. Most of all, the somewhat invincible orc leader was intriguing, added to the suspense of the whole plot, and will certainly give us all something to talk about for a while. Thanks -- was a fun time. =D

Thanks to whichever DM had their hand in the pixie visit two nights ago!

Nothing builds familiarity with NWN2 better than having to emote for two characters while switching between two languages at the same time. :D

Props to Wynna for marathon DMing - I logged in 3 different times yesterday and Wynna was DMing folks each time. She must have been on for 10 hours or more.

Props to Darren and Curmudgeon who responded, immediately, when the Anselmo situation went south. That would have been a nightmare to try and play without DMs. Thanks!

Props to Wynna for perhaps the most enjoyable static quests ever. Who needs active DMs when you've got intelligent dialogue, good scripting and - more importantly - fancy VFX!

GO WYNNA! GO WYNNA! *Starts the wave*

Biggest, baddest time I've had since returning to ALFA! Lag and all, it was scaring the piss out of me, even though I was confident we had a fine crew of mostly seasoned companions. Please don't take this wrong, but I was more frightened for the newcomers, Vask the Incindiary, and Elriond the Flaming Archer, than for my own Lem the Lug. I knew it would be risky for those two, but last night proved, once again, that ALFAns know how to watch out for each other (and that Tymora was keeping her eye out for us) and keep them out of too much trouble. Despite the huge horde unleashed on us by TGGW (The Great Goddess Wynna), we pulled through in fine shape, proud of our clandestine accomplishment, and glad to be alive.
