PC Bios

Where do we post the bios or who do we PM so that we can get our PC's ready for the launch?

Hey good question, I don't think that anything has been arranged as of yet to handle pc bios. The way we used to do it on TLR was to have the player pm the bio and then we'd post it in the dm-only forum.
Good that you're thinking ahead (only 1 week now). We'll let you know who to send it to before we go live.

Type up about 3 lines with a brief background and send it to a DM once it is announced who the person is.
Death comes notoriously easy in ALFA, it hurts when you write a novel for a new PC only to lose him 10 minutes after logging in

If you want to start pm'ing your bios to me, I'll make sure that they are posted in the DM-only Forum once it is set up.
Does anyone have a copy of the suggested format for bios? I know Vendrin used to have one. It would be nice for some of the newer players to have a guideline so if anyone has this, please post below.

Hmm never really considered it, but heres something simple for the new people when starting their initial bio:
Name:
Age:
Visual Characteristics: (eg scars, tattoos,etc)
Background: (brief background of the character0
Goals: (Brief, realistic goals your character may have)
Background will get fleshed out as you play (basically once your character reaches a point where he cant be 1 shot by a Timid Mouse in the old ladys basement) and Goals will be ever changing.
Not sure what else DMs might want to know tbh.

For being the first to submit a bio, that individual has won for themselves a meaningful death! Congrats
Vendrin was good enough to send along his format so I'll post it so you get an idea of what we've used before. No worries if yours isn't arranged in exactly the same way. As Swift mentions, these things change over time anyway.

Status: // Commonor, noble, slave. Had more bearing on an UD server, but could still have relevance on surface.
Affiliation: // What if any player groups or npc groups do you wish your pc to start affiliation with?
Age:
Background: // Standard PC bio.
Goals/Dreams:
Outlook: // Glass half empty or half full? What's wrong with the world? What's right?
