Bug Thread - Silverymoon University

1. Both Melindia and Arcadavera are now refusing to initiate their class dialogues. They are both giving the "I am busy ... speak to me in the lobby" options, even when they are in the lobby.
2. All previously reported class bugs still seem to be around. I believe Illusion I and Abjuration I are the only introductory classes that presently work, though it has been a while since I've been able to test the latter (since it is currently unreachable via dialogue).

1. Registrar Serapheena was spawning on the second floor today. I'm not sure if this is standard behavior or a bug, but it isn't something I've observed before. Conjuration Instructor Gasen is wandering around the ground floor, but still assigning classes. Also, I was unable to get into the Conjuration classroom even though I was already signed up for the course. Starting it over seemed to make no difference, though walking over the pressure plate in the middle of the hall seemed to work.
2. The door to the Illusion classroom appears to be missing. Melindia was standing in front of it, so she may have bashed it. Fortunately, she now appears to be offering classes again, at least when she's standing in the Illusion classroom door frame.
3. One of Melindia's rewards for completing the introductory Abjuration class is s scroll of Endure Elements. Considering the nature of the class, perhaps this should not be an available option.
4. There is an Elementary Conjuration Pressure Plate sitting around on the second floor, outside any classrooms. It seems this is probably misplaced.
5. There is still no hint on what is supposed to be performed in the Elementary Evocation room, and the crystal ball still has no description at all. It's also possible to damage the apparatus in this chamber with spells. I did complete the course, but only because I knew how the analogous class on the old TSM University was solved. That is probably not something that should be relied upon for players in general, particularly new ones.
6. The Elementary Divination Sigil appears to do nothing. The description mentions a Spellcraft check, but no obvious check is being made. In any case, it doesn't seem that the description should tell you that.
7. The Enchantment instructor, Silverbrook, wanders inside his own classroom.
8. The chalkboard on the second floor has nothing on it, and it only appears to become usable when a PC gets close to it. The same is true of the one on the first floor.
9. Abjuration proctor Jillian Jeriat still treats anyone that talks to her as if they are ready for their final exam.
10. Starting courses over costs the PC 50 gp each time, which seems debatable given that the fee was already paid once.
11. The messages in the Elementary Conjuration classroom all print twice, there is no visible portcullis at any time, and the summoned creature doesn't leave your party after getting whisked off (the portrait remains, although the hit point bar is empty). None of these things seems to complete the course, either. I only appeared to complete it when I walked over the nonusable pressure plate myself (the area inside the "portcullis" seems to have walkmesh issues). Also, the door locked me in for a few seconds when I attempted to leave (I had to walk back a few steps, then try it again).
12. After completing the Elementary Evocation class, I requested a scroll of Shocking Grasp as a reward. I ended up with a scroll of Stone Body, which is a level 6 spell, and from the transmutation school.
13. The Divination classroom also appears to have a tendency to lock a PC inside.
14. Elementary Enchantment, Transmutation, Necromany, and Divination seem to be the only introductory classes that don't obviously work. I'll send a PM with what I've attempted so you can determine for yourself if I am right or simply have not done the correct thing. Edit: Confirmed that Enchantment and Necromancy do, in fact, work after some retesting.

Checking on Elementary Div. As for Clarvue, tricksy Diviners want to see if you can discern the truth. Will look into it.Runestaff wrote:Master of Divination Clarvue greets PCs with "Welcome back to the School of Necromancy!"
Elementary Divination still seems broken in the new module.
Enjoy the game
The registrar can be found in the enchantment classroom currently.
This is after I reset the test on Silverbrook. I left after that, since there was some roleplaying going on nearby and wasn't sure if dialogue and testing would spam them.
I thought it was a DM thing and made a funny about the registrar's enchanting presence. Shame it went to waste =/

Advanced divination and advanced enchantment do not reset after a while.
Also,
in advanced enchantment, it is possible to stop the proctor from completing her script. she then turns hostile and attacks everything in sight.
It is also possible to get to the mirror before she breaks it.
The proctor also carries a rusty katana for some reason..
