Rhyester's Matins (Temple of Lathander)

Post by darrenhfx »

Finally have a tileset spacious and bright enough for the Morninglord so here's a quick tour.

lovely view at the entryway

But sometimes the 'wrong type' show up for a look around and they aren't able to behave themselves

... and are asked to leave

I have a problem with the module crashing when I re-tint rugs for some reason. It may be a tileset-specific bug, but if anyone else has encountered it, let me know. Now that I know what is causing the crash, I'll set to detailing the area.

Well, the Silverguard Fortress and the Temple of Torm I am working on both use big carpets that are re-tinted and AL has indicated those areas cause spikes and use up the CPU resources.

Now I went through and changed a bunch of stuff and gave the updates to AL, but if the CPU usage is still bad I am seriously suspecting those carpets.

OK I'll stay away from carpetting entirely for now and focus on the other furnishings.

It's the infamous CARPET MIMIC!!!!!!

OH NOES! Hopefully my carpeting turns out ok, I have some decent sized ones myself...

Sans carpet and with some trial and error with lighting effects.

I kinda like this look.

That's quite simply the most beautiful interior I've seen in NWN2.
Enjoy the game

That is what Lathander's Temple ought to look like.

Should be able to bring the carpeting back safely, it's off the hook for lag. Also, will the lighting change at night onsever, or will it be rationalized as a magical effect? Great work, look forward to seeing it with an avatar once it's ready.

It would be great to have the lighting effect timed to arrive with dawn and fade at dusk. If a few of the priests could gather for the ceremonies, all the better.

I'm trying to figure out how it should lit at night, any suggestions would be most welcome.

I'm still working on placeables and area design, so no rush with the scripted parts yet.
