Ok, I managed to hold out for half an hour since I read this....

Vint, Who did he piss off to get himself killed INSIDE House Invincible?

Xanth, I'm wondering who you're playing (notoriously bad memory, so if I've already met your toon, forgive me) that has business with HI, other than checking out one of the most Ubar interiors I've ever encountered for a military establishment.... and now that Vent mentioned it, wadja find on 'im? Huh? Huh? Phat l3wt? Oh, and congrats on your first post :)
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.
<BH|werksux> I prefer the trumpet or clarinet

Perhaps the body was left as a warning, a message from those both Janus and those of HI have crossed.

Hmmm. :chin:

I think Brother has a valid point...with two guards standing at the entrance and some dozen more within (not to mention the head muckity-muck with a steady veiw on the entrance) there should be some common knowlege associated with this. If Janus went in and picked a fight the guards would surely be discussing it, and if someone dropped the corpse that would entail some sort of common knowlege as well.

It's good that people take the time to post about deaths, but it would be helpful if some brief discription of common knowlege curcumstance would be posted if and when the corpse is introduced to populated areas (or the death occurs in such).

I think that unless some powerful magic was involved (pardon my post if that was the case) the corpse of Janus could not simply "appear" in HI.

I would encourage players to remember that these PC's have other PC's IG that care about what happens to them and to give other players opportunity to RP the impact of these deaths appropriately when they occur.

Cluttering the thread, but is it possible someone carried the body in there, and dropped it? IF he was associated with HI, that might be a reasonable place to leave him...

Certainly...in fact I'm guessing that was the case, but the guards would certainly have seen who it was who carried the corpse and asked questions at the very least. While we cannot put words in NPC mouths, we can include enough discription of what was seen to give interested parties something to react to IG.

Is it fair for me to tell or should I allow whoeever found the body to elaborate? Well... for any matter without giving too much away:
Spoiler:
The body of Janus Faust, recovered by an unknown is most likely covered in leaves and grass and other items from the forest. It may have been noticed by a guard that his body appeared gored by some great beast and undoubtedly was slain in battle. It could only be surmised he either was attacked by something in the wilds or, judging by the enemies he had made in his life, had been slain by a rather brutal yet cunning killer.
Sorry to be cluttering up this thread but honestly, I am still working on my character development skills and I find it amusing so many people are interested in his death. If I might ask, what made you guys love/hate him and how should I work on it in my characters in the future?
