Scheduling issues have forced me to move my "game night" - again - from Wednesday to Thursday evening. I won't be around tonight but i'll have a full-blown session starting @ 8pm EST tomorrow.

I am having problems logging in. I managed to get in once, but had tremendous, persistent lag, so I logged off. Now I don't seem to be able to get back in. I am going to keep trying for a little while though.

I give up. I finally got on and the lag was worse than before. I could not even walk out of the high hold area to see if some other area might be better. I just got stuck in this loop, then crashed, after watching my input lag by anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 or 3 minutes. I dunno, I am beginning to think me and ALFA don't go together anymore. Still, I will try again tomorrow night at 9 PM PST.

I give up again. I got back in, played for awhile, and now cannot seem to get back in. I think it maybe my computer overheating or something (it seems really hot to me).

If it's overheating short term solution is fan right next to it, or opening the case. If it's your laptop, try raising up the base with a small block of wood so air can get to the under of the laptop.

Mik, there was plenty of lag and i crashed a few times as well. However, i was using the DM Client, which is prone to crashing. I think one of your files might have been corrupted. After 1.13 is verified as compatible to the material we presently have in TSM, it might be a good idea to uninstall and reinstall the entire game, then update to 1.13 and download all the haks again.

As to the lag problems encountered today... i'll chat with Curmudgeon about it. Far too much...

For everyone else who hung on through it all, i hope you all survived the hiccups and enjoyed the ride. We'll see what we can do to iron out some of the problems and get things running a bit more smoothly in time.

And everyone please thank Dragoness for her participation through part of the session.

Thanks to both WW and Dragoness for a very entertaining event. I love events that require the characters to think, for different classes to use their individual skills and that don't necessarily culminate in a fight to the finish. Well done by all on the player and DM side -- except for all the epic fail rolls, they were kinda lame =P.

A special thanks to Mik for putting this all together. Its a shame tech issues prevented you from seeing it through.

As far as lag I have never experienced that much lag on the server even with more players logged on. I know there was some recent testing done. Maybe that had something to do with it. In the past I have noticed more lag issues right after a worldgate update. Could it have something to do with some players logging on without first running the update?
