This is also true for the Silverymoon 'mule' quests, though the Rivermoot quests do show up in the Journal. Additionally, I believe the High Hold scouting quests are not showing up in the journal either.

3. The alchemist in High Hold has never been open for me?
4. I found a set of bolts on a kobold, and the value is -49gold.
5. The kobolds and other enemies near Rivermoot, have no names, not even 'Kobold Poohurler', or some such, and though the engine has an 'identify' button available when I right click the enemy, but it never seems to do anything? Am I doing something wrong here?
6. You can be killed even after killing your enemy. Imagine my chagrin when my noble paladin delivered a mortal blow to his enemy, only to be summarily struck dead by a critical hit from the dastardly (and very dead)enemy. (I think this one is Obsidian).
Hi there

1. Rauvinwatch quests are all repeatable as oldgrayrogue mentioned and do not update in your journal. All the quests I wrote do not use the journal as they were mostly rehashed from NWN1 quests I had writtern years ago.
2. The Red Knight priest only sells to followers of the same religion. However, you can try and bluff him to sell you things, though, but if the store doesn't come up, you failed to bluff him. I didn't put in the appraise check but it might have fired off before the religion and bluff check.
3. Many of the High Hold NPC's and stores are still under construction of haven't been completed.
4. Kobold bolts: most ranged ammunition is messed up with pricing.
5. In ALFA, your enemies prefer to be anonymous

6. This was already answered.
Have fun, I hope you enjoy the server.
the transition in the southern tower in House Invincable from lv 1 to lv 2 isnt working.
Im really curious as to see what is up there

I'm having issues when I try to log into TSM. Each attempt has caused my NWN2 to crash even though I had an up-to-date WorldGate. I also tried deleting the PWC entirely and downloading it again with the same results.
This only occurs when I try to log into TSM, loading into single-player NWN2 works just fine. I know other players have had similar issues in the past but re-downloading the PWC has fixed the problem each time (as far as I am aware). Is there something else I can try?

Mine does this too, sometimes up to 3 times in a row, all i do is keep trying till it loads, im not sure of the reason, i figgure it is similar to the area transition crashes, sometimes they do hopefully they dont.

Thanks for the answers, and thanks for the work you've done to make the game more enjoyable for me and everyone else!Rick7475 wrote: Hi thereI wrote some of the quests, let's see if I can answer some of your questions.

Re: Couple Issues
Actually, I've been working towards standardizing the content to use the ALFA quests and the priest system I wrote, so some answers have changed since Rick did the initial work on these.Rick7475 wrote:Ifthir wrote:1. Hi there :) I wrote some of the quests, let's see if I can answer some of your questions.

1. Rauvenwatch mule quests are still repeatable, though your XP is now slashed each time you do them. They do not update journal. I figure I'm close to finishing the conversion of the other locale based non-ALFA Quest System quests (whether written by Rick, Indio or anybody else) to the ALFA Quest system. I've done RM, HH, Bright Blades and wrote new ones for Settlestone and Forthpeak. Still have Silverymoon proper.
2. Hylan Severen of the Red Knight is on the same priest system as the rest of the priests in TSM. In general, all healing priests on server may now be bluffed by non-believers to offer goods and services at the faithful price. He should have opened a store for you no matter which deity you worship or which way any bluff went. I will look into it. Please see the Priest System thread for more detail on the priest system.
3. Huh. I'll put the spawnpoint for the alchemist store back in. Don't know where it went. I redid all the stores in HH interior when I did the quests.
Enjoy the game

Just an bump on an oldish bug that causes a bit of confusion in the newcomers: The guest quarters of H.I. are in the Southeast corner of the building, yet the stairwell needed to access that corner is the Southwest one, on the ground floor.dob85y wrote:the transition in the southern tower in House Invincable from lv 1 to lv 2 isnt working.

Thanks for the note, not that i noticed it, but my main thing was that i wanted to have a look around the towers them selves, and the southern one (noting that there is a tower at the cardinal points) you cannot get past the first level, unlike the other three.Brother Humphrey wrote:Just an bump on an oldish bug that causes a bit of confusion in the newcomers: The guest quarters of H.I. are in the Southeast corner of the building, yet the stairwell needed to access that corner is the Southwest one, on the ground floor.dob85y wrote:the transition in the southern tower in House Invincable from lv 1 to lv 2 isnt working.

6d Silverymoon Catacombs:
I've mentioned this before and never got a believable explanation, but here goes nuthin'.
Giant Rats with +X AB and who knows how many HP, but easilly upward of 40, from my calculations, give no XP. zero, nada, not one, gornischt.
Go down a level, fight your way through a wall of Stag Beetles with +X+3 AB and much better AC and hp, and get the exact same XP reward the rats give you.
If I see one response that refers to DimRets or anything related, I'll spit in your milk. Today is the first time, ever, that Lem fought and managed to kill even one Stag Beetle.
I killed 5 of them before wounds and the sight of at least 2 more ready for action started ringing bells of warning and OOCness.
Total expense: 3 or 4 throwing axes, 15 minutes RL and gobs of blood and torn flesh from the worst wounds Lem's suffered in ages.
Total rewards: none.

The diminishing returns of the Rauvinwatch static seem to stall at 5xp and not drop below that.
edit: I was wrong, they do go lower.

And that's a bad thing? I would expect that 5xp would be pretty much a reasonable minimum amount of XP to make it worthwhile to repeat again, and again, and again, and again, ad infinitum. Just my 2 eurocents worth (still stronger than the dollar, at this point).hollyfant wrote:The diminishing returns of the Rauvinwatch static seem to stall at 5xp and not drop below that.
