Wynna, when you get a chance could you look at the walkmesh in Arathil's spiffy new digs, the area right by the desk when you firsk walk in? I was stuck there earlier and got out only by logging out and back in after trying wasd, mouseclicking on floor, door, various objects, etc. Not urgent as I'll simply be more careful from now on and avoid the spot carefully, or log if I have to, but probably should get fixed sooner or later.

Got a good laugh out of it at least; locked IN his own room... so much for high INT.

Not sure if it's a bug, and not sure if there is anything to be done about this but.....

Zombies and skeletons utilize MS/HS. THat seems a bit off to me...I am sure someone could argue that the controller of said dead gave instructions to be quiet/stick to the shadows...but I don't think mindless automotons would utilize such skills. I would agree if it were a greater undead, but simple skele's and zombies are a bit low on the intelligence pole

Seems like everything in the mod is using stealth mode currently, right down to merchants in shops, hiding below their countertops, to Marshal Kadalion hiding in the rafters of the rivermoot gazebo in wood-planking camoflage paint. This appears to be a new AI feature gone haywire that's had me running in circles trying to hunt down spawn errors on NPCs that are spawning correctly, but going unseen to most PCs.

I'm going to see how other PWs have handled this, because removing all hide/ms ranks from every creature or NPC who wouldn't want to be stealthed is not a terribly agreeable fix.

Ditto. Creatures spawning in my face due to this issue is annoying at best. I'm sure it could be deadly to lowbies, if not dealt with soon. I've been going around in search mode, not just tracking mode, to attempt to counteract this, but it doesn't seem to help (low search skill character).

I don't think search mode would help beyond slowing your movement down (which in itself might help you notice the hidden critters - more rolls/chances to detect before running smack into one). Search mode calls for the search skill iirc, hidden creatures can be detected via spot/listen checks.

Used to be flags in the OnSpawn event that controlled whether or not a creature spawned in stealth mode.

AL, please let me know if I can help.

The only good thing about it is that they do WALK up to you, rather than stealth pelting up to tear you a new a-hole, which gives you at least some chance to get the Hell out of Dodge if you've got enough Spot/Listen ranks to catch them before they get into the good ol' Claw/Claw/Bite range.

Bears can surprise the *bleep* out of you in RL. Certainly the great cats and many other apex predators (among them the great apes) normally maintain stealth. I predict an upsurge in the creation of keen-eyed rangers, and a boom in investment in Spot points.

I sorta agree, about the cats at least. Having the gnolls out at fourthpeak be sneaky was a nice change of pace, they came staggered and sometimes from unexpected directions. Brilliant work.

Still dont think all foes should be trying to be sneaky, not sure Im sold on the stealth bear specifically.... but still its WAY nice to have folks worrying about their ability to detect the enemy. Barbarians actually have something to squeeze out of their skillpoints now.

(really I am sorta opposed to animal spawns in general, most wildlife wants to avoid fighting you unless they have to, or feel threatened)

If any TSM DM's happen to read this anytime soon... I'd greatly appreciate if you logged in to help me out, i'm stuck in a small walkmesh area and I can't move anywhere (except a few feet within the spot i'm at).

:D Thanks
