*Wonders A) How often he'll be able to actually make the journey, ICly, to avail himself of the House Invincible's services, and B) How he'll be able to do so, as he's a Tempuran, not a Helmite.*

I realise that the next question is going to cause some ruckus, but how hard would it be to either edit my toon's file or remake the character all over again with Helm as his deity? As it is, I'm nearly lvl 4, and I don't really know how Lem feels about the idea of changing his allegience at this relatively late time in his life. If some sort of widget/doohickey could be made for him to carry around that would trigger the proper responses, overriding his file's chosen deity could be made, perhaps that would be an easier way around it. I just don't know enough about this sort of thing to be able to come to a conclusion.

On a lighter note:

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!

* A Note on Building*

As I was building interiors for OAS2, I relished the job, but became very discontent with the limits of the toolset. I tend to build for Realsim...what I would expect to find in a place if it exsisted in our world, but in an 11th-15th century timeframe. Therefore, the limitation I experienced at the time of release (Oct) until I was finished with my building (Feb.) was very discouraging.

Since then, many improvements have been offered by the community. Architectural placeables was my main put off in my OAS2 experience, but was later remedied. This go round, I used the tileset walls on only the first level, and included many placeable walls. The other levels have placeable walls only.

As a player, you will see a marked difference in spaciousness in the House. Some hallways and rooms are very large...then again, some are extremely tight. You'll find a whole range of large and small, narrow and wide, making it a bit more realistic.... I am extremely happy with the outcome so far.

Another limitation was the building of the interior of a tower. Fortunately, Alered found an awesome and creative way of imitating a tower interior. With the added bonus of the dwarven tileset giving us spiral staircases, I quickly found that towers, though time consuming at points, were a definite reality within the toolset. I have 4 towers within the House, each being three stories high. Though I still frown at the limitation of windows, and not having a veiw "outside" (something that can be seen in the Tower in NWN1 Shadowdale) I am content with the towers. I enjoyed the puzzles they presented, and enjoyed figuring out how to incorporate them.

I also wanted to add multiple ceiling heights into the Temple. I have experimented with them in the second story, and have slight concerns about them. With a placeable lowered ceiling, navigation could be more difficult. If the players would give feedback on if the placed ceilings interfere with mobility, I think the varying ceiling height experiment can be declared FTL, and can erase the placed ceilings.

This build has been an extreme learning curve for me, as most of what exsists build wise for walls, ceilings, some floors, has been from scratch. The time consuming, overall I am happy with the outcome so far. I'd like to hear others thoughts as the Area becomes available.

Best regaurds,

Daniel M Noah

In addition, I would also like feedback on the lighting level. I have left it pretty bright, the light added in looks more of an effect than an actual light source.

I want to know if the players are comfortable with it being bright as is, or if they prefer a more realistic darkness where light sources don't exsist.

Last I heard it's still getting finishing touches, I'll post here once it's into the Live module.

That would have been nice, as I wouldn't have blown my lunch break looking for the bloody place, so I could give him the critiques he requested.

My bad BH. I have handed off the lower levels to Rick for him to populate and sequence stores. Look for it soon though!

(shrugs) Sorry folks, it takes time to make items and NPC's and connect areas.

While I was in the middle of getting the HI ready someone else needed the mod, so I handed it back and put the updates on hold.

When I get the mod back again I'll put in the NPC's and the stores and try and get the HI connected properly.

We have a lot of players who want things in the mod and several builders who are trying to put things in to satisfy a dozen groups of players. It takes time to ensure all the standards are met and to test things to make sure they work. We have ade a lot of mistakes rushing things.

I would love to spend time updating all the threads to keep players informed of the minute details, if you are willing to wait longer.

I also DM once and a while, too, so that takes up some time.

No worries Rick...I'm sure it'll kick some ass (in a very lawful way) when it's in! :)

Take your time and enjoy DMing etc (hell, maybe even a bit of RL) and we'll be there to suck up off your efforts when your done ;)
