Does clearing out the vault reduce the startup lag we see when someone logs in?

If so remove from the vault of dob85y all characters EXCEPT Ward Halliams

That's more related to the size of the character file (the *.bic).

So as Ward has been around a while now, if you clear him out it would considerably reduce the lag when dob85y logs in?

Unload Ward's pack and go nekkid. That'd cut down on your login time lag, mate. I was given to understand long ago that it's the size of your character's bic, which includes all the gear you carry, among many other things, that give the server hiccoughs on log-in.

Ward's a njoob. He's got a ways to go before he can summon epic log lag on par with a Hignar.

I wouldn't mind my vault being cleared aside from ol Arathil at some point, but not a big deal, just a couple PCs. I just want to obsessively cackle over seeing one Precious, er, PC in my vault when I log in sometime. *strokes Arathil repeatedly with insane gleem in his eyes*

Could someone please remove the stinking grey orc corpse from my vault? She's making it difficult to just click "Start Game" thanks to being alphabetically prior to Lemuel, throwing me off my stride and destorying my immersion

Yes, that extra bit of time to scroll down to Lem might let someone else get to those PC corpses first. By God, those are Lem's 300gp aliquots of loot!
