Unless Wynna's done something I don't know about (how's that for ambiguous?) tithes to the church, at present time, are not monitored in any way. If someone knows how to set up a simple db system allowing for each toon's tithes to be registered and saved as to each church he/she tithes to, I'm sure everyone would be appreciative in the extreme.

I had a running log of my tithes in my journal, but somehow the damned thing got wiped clean. Everything I had ever saved in my journal was gone, back to square one and I had to rely upon my Abby something brain to remember how much I'd even tithed to H.I.'s coffers.

And my appologies to Mel Brooks for the rip-off.

I've never heard of a journal getting wiped, of course this is NWN2. Is it still a text file in the localvault directory? If so, it's easy to edit and make back ups.

Tracking tithes should be a relatively simple matter. Might be better to suggest in the appropriate thread (brainstorming?).

I have been in several dm adventures that kind of ran late and at the end the dm would say like we will take care of rewards at the begining of next session. I can see how giving out loot is a pain for dms. Even the stuff that gets picked up along an adventure rarely gets sold and split fairly between a party due to time constraints and the hassel of splitting the price that crossbow fetched between the group.

I think dms should feel free to take liberty to take loot the party plans to sell and split the coin right away just because it is a lot faster than trying to find all those players again and keep things straight.

My current favorite method in rewarding pcs, is when ever there is combat in a session, at the end, I just hit them all with the same amount of gold and say, this is how much you got split equally from the equipment of the folks you killed. Somewhat meta, but very, very simple.

i must add to this topic..I hope in good way. DM's are not the only ones responsible for player wealth, players can be also..although to a lesser extent. When re-equiping/ upgrading your PC you can A) Sell your old stuff to a vendor for the best price you can get...or B) sell it to a lower level PC for 3/4 the actually selling price from a vendor...this is almost always more than you would get...and a deal for the other Guy/Gal too. It also could create RP between the two...Maybe the doing ok Bard PC could pay the vastly underfunded Wizard for some Lore training? This won't greatly effect a lot of the wealth problems, but paying someone with the skills to craft items at less cost than you could buy them...It helps both PC's Unless of course the DM makes the creator pay for the nose for supplies ect. which in a low wealth situation would be Silly:) Maybe this idea is too simple but with the RP potential and the fact it could help a little, why not?
