Ithildur wrote:There's a lot of great dwarven content on TSM both within Silverymoon and elsewhere, which is terrific, but it'd be nice to see a bit more of elven flavor/presence as well especially in Silverymoon which is after all the sister city to Myth Drannor. Quite a few generic elven NPC's walking around for whom I'd be glad to write up bits of conversation or dialog.
Find canon places that are predominantly elven, and put those down as suggested builds. There is a lot of dwarven content, TSM in itself is a heavy dwarven place according to cannon, considering the interior of Mithral Hall and Adbar are not yet in the server. I am sure there are elven places not yet done a builder can focus on, if you would find them.
Ithildur wrote:The Golden Oak is a fairly popular place for the fair folk of Silverymoon iirc, but what about Heartsong Harps? It'd be nice to see a few NPC's there besides the shopkeep (who appears to be an avariel?), including a performer perhaps, as it seems like the place is set up for small performances, a more intimate 'club like' setting for elves to gather at, as opposed to the more concert hall like Fochlucan.
The shopkeep is avariel, as Silverymoon is actually one of the few places outside of Arvandor (sp?) they are listed as residing in. The shop is actually set up the way it is because the shopkeeper doubles as a teacher to young would-be bards, so child NPC's would likely be found...though I imagine small performances from bards themselves would not be amiss in such a place.

Ah, I see; so the numerous chairs are for students, not an audience necessarily. Young/children elf NPCs would be perfect for the place then; I can think of a few lines off the top of my head that would be fun to hear them say (to human PC: "You have such round ears!" "Seldarine! Why are you so fat?" (to dwarves) etc :P ). It'd bring a smile to at least a few people, I think.

Thanks for the info Dan. Look forward to Mithral Hall being in the mod someday.

I realise this would be a low priority, at this point in time, but after someone asked me about it I felt I should post a suggestion here. Both Quaervarr and Wintersedge could stand a few statics to draw vistors. Why not give some folks a few more reasons to see the less well known and oft forgotten sections of the server?
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.

I have suggested this in the past, I think it is in the list of things to do. Most wilderness areas need some attention they are mostly empty as it is. i can help with ideas for quests, even though I have no skills at scripting.

Even if these more remote areas were simply made more dangerous in terms of static spawns that would be nice.

The coloured light in the 003 Start Area makes it difficult to pick matching clothes. Could someone install a skylight?

Could someone alter the color of the light produced by the Light cantrip to white instead of purple? It's supposed to be equivelent to normal daylight, iirc from the good ol' days, and the way it looks now would make it difficult for Hollyfant to color coordinate his dresses and his pumps after dark with it.

Training areas with (scaled down) xp. Targets for archers and mages. Dummies for warrior types. Training should be something all characters do significant amounts of when not in the field. It also gives players something to do (other than statics) when there is no-one else/no DM around.

Most of us have things to do when no one is around - it's called a Real Life :P

True. Truth be told when no one is around I just log on to the forums and start spamming like this. Real Life is a myth (although I pause before using that word, after that other horrible pun-filled thread...).

Targettable archery targets and training dummies would be neat.

It would be even neater if they could be toggled not only to clickable/hostile, but factioned so that something like WWA and other combat feats would be targetable on them for such things as cycling through from one to the other. If this isn't clear, think of a front-liner who wishes to change targets in the middle of a fight, in order to help out the guy next to him, who's taking a real bung-holing, for instance, or who just wants to work on his circle-kick or whirlwind attack on a group of nearby dummies, just like he was in the middle of a mob.

As far as I can tell, at this point, when I tried using WWA on the practice dummies in the Tower of Balance (which is something that still confuses the piss out of me, as there's no equivelant for that in H.I., or even at Rauvenwatch Keep, for in-house combat training. What do a bunch of finger-wigglers need a room like that for? Tossing Fireballs and Lightning Bolts just to see the purty lights? ) I could only hit the target I was standing in front of, despite being near two or three others. I'll be more than happy to get back in there an test it, just to be sure I'm not griping about something that turns out to be a mistake on my swiss-cheese memory's part.
