Prestige Classes (PrCs) and You

Post by Curmudgeon »

We have a number of PCs who are actively working towards a Prestige Class. For them, and for those who might be interested in a PrC in the future, here is how you go about it. All standard NWN2 & MotB PrCs except Frenzied Berzerker are currently available. Additional PrCs may be available, please ask a DM. Changes may be made to some of the abilities granted by a PrC. Please ask if you have a particular question.

As soon as you know you will be working towards a PrC, contact a DM.
  • Inform a DM of interest in obtaining a PrC for your character, including your IC motivation. The DM posts this information in the player advancement forum, where the DM and others can make comments
  • When the DM feels your character is ready, the HDM is informed and gives the final OK
  • With the HDM's OK, there is a 'PrC quest' (the scope of which is to be determined by the DM and the HDM on a per-character basis)
You must RP and document your search for your PrC: Note that your IC motivations are important here.
FanaticusIncendi wrote:A player and DM agree that a PC is moving towards a PrC. The Player writes up short statement that identifies their character, current classes, and pertinant background and history that applies to the PrC they are moving towards. The write-up should include why the Player thinks the character is moving towards that PrC.

The DM posts this write-up in the player advancement forum. The DM adds his own initial observations and opinions.

As the character continues to develop, she should write and submit to the DM the IC activities of the character that are contributing towards moving that PC towards the PrC. The DM posts these to the Character's thread. If the DM has any input to add, he should do so.
You will be unable to take a level in the PrC without DM Validation. Once you have been approved and validated, you should be able to level up normally in your PrC.
