Back on topic; an Eldathyn is slightly easier with the subdual system: so you could knock out that angry wolverine and go about your way, rather than massacring it. Still doesn't help you reconcile party tensions when the other PCs want to finish off the goblins/orcs/etc that you've rendered helpless for it's sweet sweet XPs and loot. (or because of strong IC convictions on the matter). D&D isn't well designed for the ghandi character types; though it can be done... just as BH said, a real uphill struggle.

Which is why his pc is going to be perfect for my exalted campaign. He'll be there to present a higher path when it's possible.
