Please do not use persistent storage until we can report this bug fixed. Thanks for your cooperation.

As I mentioned before, I (and several other toons) are collecting bulky and heavy gear for an on-going plot and need a way to store them. I am more than willing to simply RP putting them all in H.I.'s pstorage and then chucking the stuff in the nearest trash can and make an itemised list for the DM team of exactly what I "stored" for later retrieval. Alternatively, I'm sure any of us players would be happy to hand the stuff over to a DM for storage on his avatar for later.

We're flexible, but the main problem is getting in touch with a DM while we're on, for the second option, or a way that's acceptable to the team to verify whatever was round filed, for the first option.
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.

Since I got the girdle of hill giant strength I have no worries about carrying capacity.

Fell free to have my PC hold a few hundred lbs of gear

Thanks to the efforts of our new Tech Admin, the p-storage bug seems to be fixed. AL's theory is that a power or data glitch during a p-chest read/write cycle may have corrupted the database.

We've rolled back the database to July 24th, our last stable save. Please report any problems with p-storage.

Thanks for your patience, and many thanks to AcadiusLost.

Sorry, premature celebration - the persistent storage bug has crawled out from under the armoire again.

Once again, please refrain from using p-storage, or from unnecessary deaths.

Thanks for your patience.

I'm not sure if this is a product of the rollback or just the bug resurfacing, but all the items I had remaining in pstorage have now disappeared.

Thankfully, after losing items in the first bug, I took screenshots of my remaining inventory just in case. Hopefully no one else has lost belongings.

We are cautiously optimistic that the p-storage bug is fixed. Please report any anomalies (missing items in your p-chest, module crashing on PC deaths) to me via PM. Thanks again to AL for his tireless work.

As this issue seems to have been fixed, and in keeping with someone's request to rid the forum of extraneous stickies and such, could this thread be removed from the announcements listing, or completely, so the clutter is reduced?
