Perhaps consider changing the color and intensity to simulate sunrise/noon/sunset. At night, perhaps just a dim glow (or simple torchlight) can be used.

I'd love to see (and perhaps, help script) a lightshow each morning at dawn for the temple (playing only when PCs or DMs are in-area, naturally)- it's a major time for the Lathanderains, and catching the sunrise from inside the temple would be a real draw for PCs, especially visitors to the area IC. Could leave a slightly toned-down effect present throughout the day, but having a spectacle that plays only once a day would be a really nice touch. Could even script up a NPC-led sermon if someone wrote some copy for it, hah.

I'd like to see something like that too. Give me a few days and I'll to have enough together to perhaps include in the mod to allow everyone to get a better sense of the area.

Darren, how did you use the nave tiles? I either end up with a one-sided wall or if I use the nave tile on both sides of the intended nave wall, I end up with arches protruding off halfway on the side I don't want to be nave.

This is going to be hard to explain.. let me see if I can get an overhead shot.

*edit* Until someone can tell me how to take a screenie form the toolset, I'll have to describe it.

It's a small tileset so there are only so many layouts that will work with it. Basically you have to have the hall tiles, the shortest ones, on the outside of the structure and build your way higher as you move towards the centre. So from the outside working in, it would be hall ---> nave ---> apse. You do know about the meta tiles?

It took me awhile of trying to piece the puzzle together to finally get it right. :)

I worked out something satisfactory. I'm building the Vault of Sages and I wanted the entry level to have a central high vaulted hall with the wings off to each side and not so high. I was able to work out a fairly happy collaboration with the Estate Tileset for the wings and the Apse and Entry from the Cathedral Tileset.

But, man. Your lighting effects are amazing. Are those placed lights or something else?

Mmmm a bit of both, but I can't give away all of my suprises. :)

I'm hoping to have it finished before the weekend so I can concentrate on getting the items ready.

Hopefully AL will get a chance to tinker with the lighting and we can get Avaz's ceremony dialogues worked in to the mix too!

This reminds me of something. I seem to recall finding an accolyte or two in some temple or other that could perform CMinW and CLW spells only, for a reasonable price, like the priest in the Basilicay of Tyr in RM. Have they all gotten promotions? I would expect that a place a large as Silverymoon would have a couple accolytes on hand for those little day to day bruises and such, rather than having to bother the high priest, who charges an arm for fixing a leg.
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.
<BH|werksux> I prefer the trumpet or clarinet
<BH|werksux> elves wiggle too much
