The last page of our Design Plan has been updated with a sample of Live Module statics for the Region 1 - Lower Rauvin Vale. Similar in nature to my Loudwater 1 statics.

Some serious talent and a well thought out plan. I'll parse it more carefully later, but so far the only obvious question is what will be your priority for the initial Live mod?
PC: Bot (WD)

Code: Select all

Also, can we get a sound off from Racerblue and OC?

OC may be around but we haven't heard from him, and I think he was keen on more than one project, so unless he wants to sign off with us, our building team will be Don, Bool, indio, Dorn and Swift. Live DMs will be recruited once we've got something to beta test, as we've (I've) always done it.

A public response to your question Fionn...we've responded to the Selection Team's question asking the same: The priority will be server stability. It's easy to see a plan as "What will happen regardless" instead of "What will happen if it can realistically happen". If we can build 25 exteriors, 50 exteriors or 100 exteriors, our priorities will of necessity change.

So, as the lead builder for our project, here's how I'd do it:
The 25 area plan:
Rivermoot: 1 (primary start location)
Rivermoot Surrounds: 4 (all low level adventure locales)
Road to High Hold: 4
High Hold: 1
High Hold Surrounds: 2
River to Mithral Hall: 1
Mithral Hall: 3 (large underground interiors)
Road from High Hold to Herald's Holdfast: 2
Road from Herald's Holdfast to Quervarr: 3
Quervarr: 1
Quervarr Surrounds: 2
Winter's Edge: 1

I'd make about 10 8x8 areas which would contain adventure locales accessible from the towns and use the World Map to travel to them. Winter's Edge could only be reached via World Map.

We'd get this live, with 3 racial starting points (humans, elves, dwarves), and then start building Silverymoon. If 25 exteriors was the max then Silvy would be hosted on another server.

If 50 exteriors is the max, then we'd build Silvy as well and add it to the main module plus Rhauvinwatch Keep.

If 100 exteriors os the max than we'd do the Live Module Map as outlined in our proposal. And that's off the top of my head. If you'd like real detail I can bang something up over the next day or two.

Strange. I edited my reply but it's quoted the whole post, plus I can't delete or edit either one now.

Bool is still offering his technical assistance in the development of 003.

Its really the whole of Alfa that will suffer with his leaving.

Donrath, I just finished reading through your links. I'm very impressed by the lengths you've gone to make such an accurate and to-scale version of the PnP FR. I can't wait to start a new PC here!

Thanks
