Impiltur info??

Post by Thangorn »

anyone got any?

I'm looking particularly for reference to Haelimbrar's watch, Yordic-dun, Ladiguer and Tower Ithfell.

The developers in their infinite wisdom lumped Impiltur into the Unapproachable East in the FRCS but left it out of the Unapproachable East supplement. What the?

The only thing I found mate was Issue#346 - FR: "Impiltur: The Forgotten Kingdom" in Dragon Magazine.

Pg. 191 of the Unapproachable East campaign accessory book has a few paragraphs on the region and two cities but nothing is mentioned of what you were looking for imparticular, Hope that helps a bit.

There is the Impiltur Sourcebook published by the Vintyri Project. It is not canon lore as it's not published by Wizards of the Coast, apparently Ed Greenwood did work closely with the authors however.

The zip file is available on http://candlekeep.com/ (look under 'Campaign Journals, Northern Journey). It's a pretty exhaustive work that covers the entire history of the Impiltur region from before the first kingdom of Impiltur to the current state of the second kingdom of Impiltur and even beyond, speculating what may happen when Queen Sambryl dies without an heir.

They usually are pretty good about pointing out when they move beyond canon, and no doubt will have researched the area to the fullest possible extent before going outside of canon.

(I just had a quick look in the campaign guide and p. 62 is a good starting spot for you.)
