Scriveners...

Post by Havoc »

My current character on the OAS is a Human cleric, A Scrivner of Doom. I like the concept, and it's one that I'd like to take onto one of the live servers (If I'm accepted, of course).

What I'd like to know is where would be a likely place for my follower of Jergal to originate from? I'm aware that it's not really a massive church anymore, and that locations might be sparse.

Any help appreciated. :)

This is not a "Canon expert" answer, but there is apparently a nice shrine to Kelemvor somewhere on the Daggerdale server. Jergal worshippers have made IC pilgramages.

^ The dude who posted the thread highlighted above may or may not still play a Scrivener of Doom on the TPI Server. Think he went backpacking in South American much of this summer, I'm not sure if he picked up playing again by now...

That sounds good, I might have to go there IG. :P

What I was more after was a place of origin that would make sense for my character. Somewhere that would give him access to an order of scriveners, where he would have been trained.

Thanks for the reply. :)

The main temple to Jergal seems to be the Crypt of Imminent Death in Bezanthur, Thay. There are also holy sites to both Kelemvor and Jergal in the Border Kingdoms, in the barony of Great Oak to be precise. This according to "Powers and Pantheons".

But what's this, no half Orc?

Oh don't worry, I intend to unleash a number of Half-Orcs on ALFA, but I'm also trying to diversify my repertoire. Plus I've been interested in Jergal for a while now. :P

...I might even try an Elf at some point.

Thanks for the info Vince, I'll do a bit of reading about those places. :D

I'll need your HO permission slip in triplicate before I make a decision on whether or not the ALFA HO Fellowship Under Council (Ah-Fuc) will allow you to play said HO.

Thanks

Half-Orc identity documents? Surely it doesn't help that most of them can't read and write? :P
