Tymora

Post by johnlewismcleod »

I found this on Tymora:

http://www.nj-pbem.com/data/Gods/humangods/Tymora.htm

Before using it as cannon in my new PC's background, I thought it might be wise to see if it passed muster with some of our Realms Lore buffs.

That looks like an exact copy of the "Faiths and Avatars" entry on Tymora, so it's kosher if a bit old.

I'd say that sums up about Tymora's faith quite nicely. It's basically what they have in the F&P and still valid, if you ignore 4e.

Which I tend to. :D
No one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts.

But this...this you can trust.

That link reflects info that's probably more than 15 years old, some time during AD&D 2nd Edition. You can tell because it goes on about Bane being toast, as well as "Specialty Priest" requirements, which was a sort of "Cleric plus special extras if you had the right stats." Same deal with the spells being written in pre 3.0 / 3.5 format, with spheres and all, and with the "Arabel is a hotbed and maybe things will go well there" stuff probably turning out to have gone much worse in history than anyone'd predicted (Cormyr, Azoun, Arabel, they all had their own troubles with dragons n' whatnot, don't know how Lady Luck played into it but hey).

ALFA has collected most deity info on our webpage from 3rd Ed. resources, fairly searchable from the search window, here's the Tymora link as an example:

ALFA NWN2 PCs: Rhaggot of the Bruised-Eye, and Bamshogbo
ALFA NWN1 PC: Jacobim Foxmantle
ALFA NWN1 Dead PC: Jon Shieldjack

I rather liked this story about the Lady.
