Non-human deities, Ao, & the Time of Troubles

Post by dergon darkhelm »

Is there anything on what the *other* Gods did during that time?

Does Ao have any role with regards to the non-human gods?
PCs: NWN1: Trailyn "Wayfarer" Krast, Nashkel hayseed

The 2E book " Powers & Pantheons " might have good info on what the non-human gods were doing. These books seem to go in more detail about the gods than the new 3.0 stuff

I can't see anything about the Orc pantheon during the time of troubles.

Were the orc pantheon cast down to mortailty then aswell or where they created during the time of troubles.. or where they simply not under Ao? Which would be very interesting but from what I understand Ao is above all the gods of all the pantheons, right?

There has been a debate about the elemental Gods having been exempt, but I'm not buying it.
The Orcish Gods definately weren't, because...
Shaundakul roamed the ruins of Myth Drannor, where he battled and destroyed the avatar of a minor orc deity.
An Orc Deity nobody knew apparently, since there is nobody is missing from the Pantheon...

I just read my own link, in my sig. I actaully got around to reading all about the orc deities and it seems Gruumsh at least has been around since the dawn of things.

He even went head to head with Correllion with the aid of Lloth back before she made the drow what they are now and aquired her current persona.

I don't know if the other orc deities are young or older deities. Gruumsh's son Bahgtru seems to be a lot younger than some of the others.

BUt apart from their relations with other deities the only thing i can find on the orc pantheon during the time of trouble sis something to do with Gruumsh defeating some of the mulhorundi and untheric pantheons. There is not much details though.

Are you sure that's not a part of the Orcgate Wars?

or yeah it might be the orcgate wars! :D

uh so yeah time of troubles... very quiet for orc deities. Perhaps being mortal made them behave well for a change. Therefore they just kept their heads down stayed safe and waited to be gods again.

I was mistaken on what I thought the Orc pantheon was doing during this time.
