NWNX Gui Error Log - for AL

2 things of note. When I try to connect to your server, I'm denied permission (it says so in the xp_mysql txt log) and whenevr I try to log in with a character, it's resetting the server.

Still got those compile probs. Not sure why.

One thing comes to mind... you were already using a local SQL DB of some kind to handle your quests and such, right? I'm thinking you're seeing conflicts between the two- you can't have NWNx4 pointing at both at once, and the schemas don't likely match up. What do the tables look like on your serverside SQL database, and is it a MySQL one or an SQLlite DB?

Another thing- the NWNx4 client has "gamespy watch" on by default, but it's never worked for me- if left on, it restarts the server every 20-30 seconds trying to get gamespy confirmation. So, untick that box or disable it in nwnx.ini just in case that's what keeps shutting things down.

Yeah, I've had the Gamespy option disabled for months. Don't know why it exists, as all it seems to do is knock the server offline.

cipher, I'm trying to connect remotely to AL's server, but I'm getting a Permission Denied in the xp_mysql log when trying to.

I'll look around some more today and see what happens. For now I've set up the old databse so players can keep testing. As soon as I can get this to work I'll get it online.

FWIW, I wasn't able to connect to AL's server a while back either. We never did figure out why. If you're just testing, can you use Zicada's for now until we sort out the issues with Hialmar's install?

Al or I can PM you the connection information.
