I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this, but:
First of all, a compliment. I like the extended rest period. It makes rest in the wilds a more tactical deicision.
Now a whinge. I played through a session on TSM with a few others last night. At the end, I went to go rest so I could regain my healing spells to heal up the wounded before they logged out. But then it told me I had to wait another 11 hours before I could rest again. By my rough guess that means ALFA2 is set to disallow resting for 24 hours. That seems rather excessive to me. I would prefer 12 hours. Maybe 16 if it's that big a deal to you. But in the above situation, my companions are going to be 30gp or 50gp out of pocket because they'll have to use healing potions or priests instead... and that's a lot of cash on TSM where the mobs hardly ever drop loot.

I think the real problem is that there are not many alternatives to full healing other than the rare cleric, expensive potions, or logging off the server.
Another solution would be to give players an incentive to rest in certain spots like inns by giving them a faster rate of recovery. Much less expensive than a potion, but also non-portable.

There was a very long prior discussion thread on this issue in the TSM forums I think with several proposals to address this issue ranging from dropping the price of CLW potions to offering 1 free rest a day to level 1-3. I think the consensus ended up being that level 1-3 may get 1 free rest per day which grants 1 HP per level under the script right now -- PLUS a modifier based on CON. Not sure if that was ever approved or otherwise acted upon. Since the loot drops have increased it has become less of an issue I think.
