By Jove, that did it! 3.5 hours in and negligible CPU use. Looking good.

By about 8 hours of uptime, the CPU use was spiking up to about 50-60% of one of the CPU cores, though it was dropping back down to < 10% in between. Certainly, dropping that Lyrans Underground area made a ton of difference.

Last night I went through and changed some of the wandering and placed NPCs into ALFA spawns (copied to blueprints in the pallete, set down spawn points that call the blueprints in their place)- seem to have pushed CPU use down even further. I've got the profiler running on it now, but pathfinding isn't hooked by it yet. I suspect the wandering NPCs in the fugue and soubar were to blame for some of the CPU use. Converting those two areas (and the crossroads) to spawn points, I can't even tell which core the server is running on after 2 hours, the usage is so low.
