A Land Far Away

I was looking around the ALFA site for information such as what version of the game I needed. No luck. Just confusion. So I googled "NWN role playing communities" and found http://game.arelith.com/. Simple. Information on front page. Attractive.

If there is an issue with attracting people, straight forward presentation and simplicity is key.

At the moment everything here has the feel of a 39 year old nerd's desk clutter. There is a method to their madness but it is user friendly only to them.

Is this something that can be streamlined/fixed?

Welcome back Mother! I never got the chance to meet you before you left but I have heard a few stories from the old days .

The site you link is very slick- much higher gloss feel then our web-front and tools. I'd love to see something like this for ALFA; and, though it would be a big project I think it's worth looking at revamping our site to make it more user friendly. Step one would be to lay out what we want to accomplish and round up some enthusiastic members for the work. Is this something you'd like to help with?

Anyone interested in helping out with some cosmetic changes?

Hialmar has ownership of the website itself, and I imagine that different bits of the actual content are spread about over various groups. I would start with Hialmar- I'm not very techie so it's not obvious to me what we'd need to to or who should do it- but this is a worthwhile project to pursue.

That's NWN1, don't buy it.
Not that I wouldn't love to see a NWN1 server again.
