Ok, so now that I know the limits at ALFA I would like to discuss the Gensai.

Is anyone interested in having this race? If so why? Also please comment why you wouldn't want it. I know races are touchy here, so please just post your thoughts.

From the technical side it should be quite easy with the 1.05 patch which removes the 40 sub class limit in the 2da's as well as the fact that the models are already in the core game.

I think there are quite a few people who would want to play genasi. I have seen it mentioned in a couple places that it might happen, so I would be curious to hear what Mikayla thinks about it. How much work do you think it would take to add them properly?

I wouldn't mind seeing genasi made playable, since we already have aasimars and tieflings, it's not really a step up from there.

In principle Genasi are in. We just need to make sure that they're technically very close to PnP, or as close as we can get anyway. I think one big thing we're missing for them is models.

The one non-standard race I want to see IG.

B_S if you take the initiative and put together a package to make the race playable, you'll speed up the process of seeing it in game. This goes for anyone who would like to champion a certain race/creature/whatever.

As player-admin, I have no problem adding Gensai to the mix considering we will be opening the door to Aasimar and Tieflings. So long as a reasonable job can be done creating the class and balancing it, I say go for it.







Of course, I personally would also REALLY like to see Fey'ri (even if left without some of their powers like the wings) so I suppose I should say, you can have Gensai if I can have Fey'ri...but alas, someone would probably scream "abuse of power" if I attempted such extor..err..negotiation.

Anyway, yes, Gensai are fine with me.

Blue, is this class included in the PRC2? Short of opening up the package, I can't tell from their webpage.

Well PRC wise I am not sure on that. Last time I checked none of the races were working.

This would be a fairly simple project I think. I will take a look at making it over the next week. I am pretty sure it will be simple, although additional head models isn't something I can do.

EDIT: I will start work on this after the 1.05 patch since the 2da limits are fixed in it. Rob said they were at least >.>. Until then you cant add custom races without the game crashing.
