Request for Insight

Hello all NWN2 builders,

I need two things. One, i wish to know if everyone in your team has access to this section of the forums. The other is, i need to know what you need, in terms of content and people.

In short order, i will be getting my act in gear regarding attempting to recruit assistance, from inside ALFA and outside. Part of the problem i would like to address is the greater need to focus on global content. However, i know i cannot gain your support in this, if i also don't try to help resolve your needs.

So there it is, let me know so i can get busy.

1) All my members are added to the Moonsea usergroup, so should have access.

2) I'd like to have another 2-3 builders that can work independantly, with daily advice and or pointers if they so need it. Mainly for interiors, and eventually for more exteriors too. If someone wished to specilize in creating items and NPCs, it would take a load of the other builders.

WW, can you coordinate with Rusty on items? He's working out pricing and other important specs (materials & properties) with the standards team that we'll want to have for building items, primarily magical ones. We should be able to work on mundane items now however (starting with the PHB).

Builders, be sure to keep this article on item creation handy:

Suggest revisions as necessary. I'd like to see all item related guidelines added to the article so it's all in one place for builders to reference. I've also removed "ALFA" from the classifications - I really find this to be extraneous abstraction (especially in NWN2). Whatever you are using in your module SHOULD BE ALFA approved.

Also, don't lose sight of that list of generic areas builders suggested. That'll definitely be useful and having people work on these in tandem with server builds would be productive. :)

WW has access to the Standards forum.

As general public info, the review of wealth and pricing is largely complete. I will post the details of any revisions and update the documentation when appropriate, and move the data to the Wiki when we have the new website.

I think my folks can see this, haven't really checked though.. will do.

As for what I need, I would say ignore my needs for the time being and get recruits to work on ABR. The truth of the matter is that I'd rather not make base resources, its terribly dull even though it's 100% necessary. My server is progressing slowly but still faster than the abr I'd wager. So put everything you can get into the abr, get that stuff done first, then once these new recruits you find are done with the business that all of alfa requires, they'll be trained up in aspects of the toolset that will make them useful to other build teams down the line.

I'd rather be freed up to work solely on Myth Drannor by having recruits work on abr bits.

TSM team all have access to this forum.
We are a few weeks away from having a beta server up for testing at which point we'll examine our needs for additional resources- content and builders.

So far so good tho.
