Please oh please, lets make sure there is someway to save your PC without having to Safety Log. If there isn't a button built into the NWN2 interface please add something to the emote ball.

It'll save a lot of lag on the servers since folks won't be logging in and out after getting xp or making a purchase. jefflang over on Northern Cormyr has it working in another project. http://www.hylis.org

i've had some success saving data just by openning the character and inventory screens in-game...that seems to force a reconciliation between client and server which helps to avoid crash losses. Definitely helps when you are dealing with client time-outs. Could anyone speak to whether that's actually the case?

With luck, we'll be on local server vaults linked via DB replication &/or triggers. If that's the case, exporting won't be the lag fest it is now.

That said, there's an option on the TPI wand to 'export all' that would be trivial to add to the emote ball.
