Kobold? No. Goblin? Yes. Found the corpse of a planetouched that was either soloing or had been abandoned by her friends up in the wilderness. Of course, if you recklessly take a character that took a couple weeks to be greenlighted out into monster territory alone, well, whatever happens is your own fault.Veilan wrote: I'm fairly sure the type of player that we consider for special characters is experienced enough not to go die to the next kobold.
That PC was alone....
correct WW?
I also believe that PC was warned before her death not to go into those hills because they were dangerous, but the PC ignored the warning and wanted to blow through statics solo.
Correct WW?

That PC was being DMed. That PC also had improved disarm, which didn't work as it was supposed to, receiving punches from an orc that did 6-8 points of damage. And last, that PC was being ostracized by the other PCs ingame (right dan?), including not being allowed to enter the city as if they ran the city (right dan?), giving her very little other option but to solo with a DM.danielmn wrote:That PC was alone....

Stated fact, i anticipated a little bit of NPC/PC hesitancy, but this was an air genasi, not a friggin' tiefling with horns and a tail, and the reactions of at least one PC was a bit more overboard than I had anticipated (and taking upon more authority than that PC held) when i created this character concept, thus forcing me to play my PC quite different than intended.
But, to close that issue altogether, i opted for that character to die. Improved disarm didn't work (two wasted feat points) and the character interaction was way out there, nothing like I anticipated. So, yep... wrote a detailed bio only to toss it after playing the character for 6 hours. Bio didn't fit the way she was being treated, nor the way i would end up being forced to play her.
