The stone idea is good. as long as you dont get stuck with one due to a tech rezz.

Tech rezzes should not use scripted NPCs so I don't see a problem there. A DM rez would require the DM to actually place a stone on a PC...so tech rezzes would not count in the total. The idea is to limit the number of scripted rezzes. If a DM chooses to rez a PC more than once, that's to their discretion.

Yeah, it's an unspoken aside to this that tech rezzes and the like do not count for anything.

I don't see why you need to even do that much in regards to scripted rezzes. Most of the time, they tend to happen because you can't find a DM or time reasons. *shrugs* Just limiting it to one ever that way.. eh.

I have no problem with that either. A second rez should be extremely rare. We are striving for some sort of believability even though this is a fantasy game are we not?

If the scripts can check against a chart of allies/enemies and alignments, and therefore only raise the proper people... eh. I still don't like scripted rezzes but that would be far more acceptable.

At least check the alignments.
That would be far less of a pain in the neck for the scripters.
