Re: Question about Game Mechanics/Possible Bug
There's also the matter of "Light Blindness" (Drow, Grey Orcs) vs. "Light Sensitivity" (Duergar). As I recall, Light Blindness is bugged but Light Sensitivity works just fine.

Re: Question about Game Mechanics/Possible Bug
Ah, true. I tested with a drow, so it was Light Blindness.
Current PCs:
Zova Earth Breaker, Monk of Rasheman

Re: Question about Game Mechanics/Possible Bug
As said before, novels are not rule books and are not bound by the 2.5 ruleset.Actually this very thing was addressed in the novels about drow
The 3.5 FRCS:Underdark says that the Narbondel is lit once per day by Gromph Baerne using creeping fire from bottom to top, you are referencing 2E material which links to infravision. Infravision does not exist in the 3.5 ruleset.Narbondel is the name of the column that 'lights' up Menzoberranzan, but it is lit by heat not light
