Resting and Spell restoration durations?

Ahh, well, now this changes everything. My biggest concerns with any increased duration of rest time are based on the prevalent OOC rests ("Ugh, sorry guys, forgot to rest before i logged out last night") to heal/remove effects that would have happened while the player was logged off. If this system does truely work, then i think an extended rest time would be much easier to swallow.
