Anyone who wants to check out the DM Client on The Savage Frontier server, the password is: nyphithys
I'll post the module on the DM FTP once I get organised and contact Rusty so that whoever wants to can check it out. And what I'd really like to do is help AL get a basemod fitted out...template areas, dialogues, NPCs and the like to help new NWN2 DMs get into the toolset.
I'm writing up an ALFA tutorial for how I build areas (there are better ways no doubt), but it involves plugins. They're the key to simplifying the build process. And I think it might help to alleviate fears that any DM has regarding how an area should look for it to be in beta. Perhaps the best way would be to show you the beta modules from NWN1.
Seriously, most were flat areas of grass with a road, a fence, some trees and if you were a good builder, you might have slipped in a stream. I remember Alby going nuts in delight after he saw his first waterfall, maybe 2 months after we'd gone into beta. It really was horrible. The more we share, the less we worry if our work is good enough, the more ideas we get, the more fun it is to be involved. I'll basically make everything I've been using available and try to document it as best I can. Should be done by Monday or so.
